The GIS ConnectEd in Delaware workshops were funded in part, by a competitive grant program by Esri and in cooperation with the Delaware Technical Community College. The educators who secured the $5,000 grant designed a two-day workshop with a follow-up webinar to deliver training so participants could engage classroom students and other educators in meaningful activities in support of academic studies. Participants engaged in the workshops for the full time period. The stipend depended on full participation of one of the workshops and was for Delaware Educators Only.
